Pilar Mansion Investigation: AFA Treasurer in the Crosshairs of Justice

A judicial investigation in Argentina has uncovered new evidence linking a luxury mansion in Pilar to AFA treasurer Pablo Toviggino. Seized items include bags with the association's logo, a fleet of 54 cars, and commemorative plaques, suggesting the use of front men to conceal assets.

Buenos Aires, December 14, 2025 - Total News Agency - TNA - The judicial investigation seeking to determine if a luxury mansion located in the Buenos Aires locality of Villa Rosa, Pilar district, actually belongs to high-ranking officials of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has, in recent hours, added new substantial elements that directly implicate the entity's treasurer, Pablo Toviggino, considered the main ally of President Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia.

Based on this, the investigation reconstructed the property's ownership history, which for years belonged to Tevez himself, then passed to another company, and was finally acquired in May 2024 by Real Central SRL.

The investigation began with a complaint from the Civic Coalition, which gained momentum after a message posted on social media by former footballer Carlos Tevez in March 2024, alluding directly to trips, bags, and a collection of cars accumulated in Pilar, in an explicit reference to Toviggino.

As the investigation advanced and concrete elements began to emerge, the Federal Chamber resolved to remove Judge Daniel Rafecas from the case and transfer it to the economic criminal jurisdiction.

Photographs taken during raids ordered by the Justice revealed the presence of personal items and institutional recognitions that, according to investigators, reinforce the hypothesis that the property is not unrelated to the leadership of Argentine football.

Among the seized items was a black bag with the official AFA logo and the full name of Pablo Toviggino prominently stamped. The object was found inside the estate that the executive never declared as his own and which is formally in the name of the firm Real Central SRL, whose owners are Luciano Pantano and his mother, Ana Conte, two individuals without apparent financial capacity to justify a property valued at several million dollars and equipped with luxury infrastructure, including a helipad.

To this discovery was added a commemorative plaque also found inside the house. The plaque is dated July 18, 2025, the day Barracas Central publicly announced its return to the remodeled stadium, which reinforces the temporal and symbolic link between the executives and the property under investigation.

The raids also allowed the discovery of an imposing fleet of vehicles in a warehouse on the property: 54 luxury or collector cars, seven high-displacement motorcycles, and two go-karts.

The recognition belongs to Club Atlético Barracas Central and is expressly dedicated to 'Pablo Ariel Toviggino, AFA Treasurer,' in gratitude for his 'constant commitment' to the institution during the club's stadium re-inauguration, which bears the name of Claudio Fabián Tapia.

The Justice has now ordered an overall appraisal of these assets to determine the total value of the suspected assets and their possible correspondence with the company's declared income.

The contrast between the declared economic profile of the formal owners and the volume of detected assets is one of the central axes of the file. According to judicial sources, among the vehicles found are extremely high-value models, such as three Porsches, a Ferrari F430, an Audi R8, a Ford Mustang Mach 1, and other sports and high-end units, in addition to SUVs and premium motorcycles.

In parallel, the file on the Pilar mansion continues to add clues that, according to the complainants, constitute a complex asset structure difficult to explain without the direct participation of the AFA's leadership circle.

All these assets are registered in the name of Real Central SRL, a company constituted by Pantano and Conte, who, according to the complaint filed by the Civic Coalition, would act as alleged front men for AFA officials.
